Kimberley Writers Festival, Kununurra

Be inspired, entertained and connected at the Kimberley Writers Festival in Kununurra from 20-22 August  2021.

This one-of-a-kind writer’s festival is held in one of Australia’s most stunning, dramatic and remote locations, providing an opportunity to meet authors and special guests in an informal environment. It’s a completely different experience to big city writers’ festivals.

Now in its 15th year, the 2021 program will include workshops, readings, a literary breakfast, and more. .

Guests already confirmed for this year’s Kimberley Writers Festival include:

  • Dervla McTiernan – one of Australia’s best crime authors (“The Ruin”, “The Scholar” and “The Good Turn”)
  • Christian White –  acclaimed author (“The Nowhere Child”, “The Wife and the Widow”) and screenwriter (Clickbait, Relic)
  • Cindy Solonec – history professor, author and Nigena (Nyikina) woman from the West Kimberley (“Debesa”);
  • Holden Sheppard – award winning author (“Invisible Boys”)
  • Aśka – visual storyteller and science communicator
  • Mel Hall – writer and musician
  • Susan Midalia – author and editor
  • Tanya Dalziell – educator and author
  • Paul Genoni – educator and author
