Kununurra is a town in the East Kimberley, approx 45 km from the border with the Northern Territory, located close to the confluence of the Ord and the Dunham Rivers.

The extraordinary landscape surrounding the town includes features such as the ancient rock formations of Mirima (Hidden Valley) National Park – a significant place for the local Miriuwung people; Lake Argyle, Australia’s largest artificial lake; popular fishing spots such as Ivanhoe Crossing; and the cascading waterfalls and thermal springs of nearby El Questro Wilderness Park.
