The Hamersley Range is a mountainous region of the Pilbara that runs 460km from the Fortescue River in the northeast to the south and contains the highest peaks in Western Australia, including Mount Meharry and Mount Bruce.

Karijini National Park – one of Australia’s largest national parks is located within the range. So too is Juukun Gorge, an area of immense cultural and archaeological significance, containing Indigenous artefacts dating back 46,000 years and evidence of continuous human occupation during the Ice Age.
